I spent the spring of 2022 outside, practicing deep listening. During this, I noticed I was becoming more and more drawn to the diverse cacophony of sounds that the local bees were making in my own yard.

'Symfonni Gwenyn' is a generative piece which replicates these sounds by warping, stretching, and looping recordings made by local bees in Altadena, CA. The sounds herein are haunting and eery, which contemplate the future of our world without the bee.
